Checked against these 2021 International Residential Code (IRC) requirements. Your city or county may use a different IRC edition or local amendments, so final construction drawings are reviewed by a licensed designer and approved by your local building department before we build. Smoke and carbon-monoxide alarms, energy code, and garage-to-house fire separation (a solid or 20-minute rated, self-closing door) are detailed on construction drawings.
